With Your Consent or At Your Direction. We may share information with third parties when you direct us to do so or if you have consented to additional sharing of your information (including as set out in this Privacy Policy).

4. AI FEATURES

How Athena Uses Information. Athena is a read-only personal finance assistant. It cannot move money, pay bills, place trades, modify transactions, cancel subscriptions, or otherwise take action in your financial accounts. When you ask Athena a question, RizzMoney determines which context is reasonably relevant to answer it. This may include your message, a limited number of recent conversation turns, saved Athena memory, the current app screen or chart context, and a minimized financial snapshot associated with your authenticated account. Requests that do not require personal financial context may be answered without sending a financial snapshot.

AI Service Provider. RizzMoney uses OpenAI’s application programming interface to generate certain Athena responses. We configure requests so generated responses are not stored by OpenAI as application state for later retrieval. OpenAI may separately retain API content and related metadata for a limited period for abuse monitoring, security, legal compliance, or other purposes described in its applicable terms and data controls. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train or improve its models by default unless the customer affirmatively opts in. RizzMoney does not opt in to model training with Athena content.

No Sale, Advertising, or General-Purpose Model Training. We do not sell Athena conversations or Financial Information, use them to target advertising, or use your connected-account Financial Information to train a general-purpose artificial intelligence model.

Conversation History and Memory. RizzMoney may store up to the latest 120 messages in an Athena conversation document, along with a text transcript, to provide continuity and support the feature. The app currently displays messages from the most recent 24 hours; older stored messages may remain until replaced by newer messages or your account is deleted. Athena may also store a limited set of preferences, planning assumptions, rejected suggestions, and app-education status. This memory is not live financial data and does not authorize Athena to take action.

AI Limitations. AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. They are provided for educational and informational purposes and do not constitute financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Review important information against your official financial records and consult a qualified professional before making significant decisions. Additional details are available on our AI Transparency page.

5. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We implement a variety of security safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method or transmission over the internet or electronic system is completely secure, so there is no guarantee that such data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed in connection with a breach of our physical, technical, organizational, or managerial safeguards.

When you create an account, you may be prompted to create a username and password. If you create an account with us, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for any activity that occurs under your account. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your password. We urge you to change your passwords often, use a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you are using a secure device. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure or if you suspect someone else is using your account, please let us know immediately by contacting us as indicated in the “Contact Information” section below.

For additional details about the steps we take to protect your information, please review our Security Policy.

6. RETENTION OF INFORMATION

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and comply with applicable legal obligations. AI conversation history and memory are retained as described in Section 4. We will also retain and use your information as necessary to resolve disputes, protect RizzMoney and our users, enforce our agreements, and maintain records of account-linking consent, acceptance of applicable terms, and revocation requests where required by law or contract.

The Services may link to financial institutions or use Plaid to connect your accounts with those institutions. Any third-party sites or services you choose to access are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

These links and integrations are provided for your convenience and do not imply any endorsement by RizzMoney, Plaid, Fidelity, or any other financial institution. Information we receive through a connected account may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable, and for Fidelity-connected accounts specifically, RizzMoney may display data from your connected Fidelity account, but Fidelity remains the official source of record. We encourage you to review the records made available directly by your financial institution.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are intended for a general audience and not for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information (as defined by the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) from children under 13 years of age. If you believe that we might have any such information from a child, please contact us as described at the end of this Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your account and associated AI conversation history and memory through the supported in-app account deletion controls or by contacting support@rizzmoney.app, subject to information we must retain as permitted or required by law.

California’s “Shine the Light” law gives California residents the right under certain circumstances to request information from us regarding the manner in which we share certain categories of “personal information” (as defined in the Shine the Light law) with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share your “personal information” with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
